Founded in 2019 by Jilly and Steven Gale; the Yorkshire Coast Riding Club has been providing opportunities for its members to learn new skills, meet friends and be part of a friendly community ever since and it is growing year on year.
We are a small affiliated riding club in the North East of England, offering coaching and training to its members along the Yorkshire Coast.
We offer coaching and training opportunities for all levels of skill and to both junior and senior members.
We are an ambitious little club and are proud to have members regularly compete in local and national competitions.
Regular monthly low level 'have a go' SJ and dressage competitions in a supportive environment for riders at all levels and ages, along with mounted and dismounted games are also available regularly.
Our aim is to help you enjoy your horse in a supportive and encouraging environment and we strive to be an inclusive, supportive and well run organisation. As well as supporting established combinations of horse and rider to improve, we have welcomed many members who are just starting out on their equestrian journey or are returning to riding after a break.
We are affiliated to British Riding Clubs and are part of Area 2.
We offer regular individual instruction sessions with our qualified and experienced instructors in SJ, XC, Flat Work, Poles and Dressage - all are tailored to the individual rider and horse and focussed on the areas you wish to learn/develop in.
Alongside our ridden schedule, we also offer educational talks, stable management, pleasure rides and much much more - we aim to offer something for everyone, regardless of age or experience.
We run solely on volunteers to organise and support all activities.
